MAPS PSO Team Leading the Way in Patient Safety
To obtain and maintain federal certification, PSOs have to conduct 8 patient safety activities including the hiring of qualified staff to carry out all activities, utilize clinicians versed in safety and quality improvement for analysis of events. The MAPS PSO must operate within their own patient safety evaluation systems (PSES) and conduct activities that assist their members in effectively minimizing patient risk.
